Cake/Treat Order Terms and Conditions



All sales are FINAL once payment has been made. All Payments must be made within 24 hours of receipt to secure and confirm the order. Payment not made in this timely manner will result in the invoice being canceled. 24 hours is only a complimentary hold.

All Cake/Treat orders under $200, full payment is required to secure your order.

For any order $201 and above, a non-refundable 50% retainer is needed at the time of confirming your order, to secure your date, and cake/treat order. The final payment is due 1 week before your event.

Full payment is required for any order requested within the week of due date. Any order placed within the week it is needed for, there will be a rush fee added to your order. Fees are an additional  25% of the total cake order.

All payments are made through PayPal Invoice. Payment can be made with a credit or debit card. NO CHECKS!

Cake / Treat Changes 
Changes to your cake /treat order: size, description, flavors, etc. will be accepted until 1 week prior to the event date. After that lockout date, we cannot accept any changes. 

Delivery and Set-up 
Delivery and setup are required for all wedding cakes and for some multiple-tier special occasion cakes. Delivery is a minimum of $50 for cakes within a 10-mile radius of Betty Black Baking. All other deliveries outside of the 10-mile radius are $2 per mile one way. If you would like to pick up your cake, please keep in mind that you must come with enough space to carry your cake on the floor of your vehicle. Please make pick-up arrangements beforehand. 

Cancellation Policy 
In the event of cancellation: Cakes / Treats canceled prior to the 7-day lockout date.  The non-refundable 50% retainer will not be refunded. Cakes/ Treats canceled after the 7-day lockout date will not be refunded. In the event that something occurs to effect your scheduled event date – please contact me to discuss options. If a credit is given for a future date, it must be used within 90 days of the canceled date. Communication is key, if you are up-front about any issues about your date I will work hard to accommodate you. I understand things can come up that are out of your control. 


I promise to do everything in my power to deliver you a cake that exceeds your expectations. I will work with you on every level to make sure you are completely satisfied and happy with your cake. Please note that the colors and design of the actual cake may vary slightly from any sample picture sent, due to the nature of digital and edible components.


Pick Up/Delivery

Betty Black Baking cannot be held responsible for anything that should happen to the cake once delivery is complete. Incidents such as food ants, excessive sunlight, & weather conditions, are out of Betty Black Baking's control, once delivery has been completed. Please note that direct sunlight and temperatures of 75 degrees and higher may have drastic and adverse effects on any cake.

All orders must be picked up at the specified time agreed upon during order confirmation. Any order being picked up more than 1 hour after said time, will result in a late pick-up fee of $25.


In the case of an emergency or an error in your cake delivery, please contact me immediately so I can fix the issue right away! If you are unhappy with your cake for any reason, please call me on the day of your event and explain the situation. In the rare case that you are unhappy with your cake and would like a refund, you must call the day of your event so your cake can be returned. Without proof that you are indeed unhappy with the product and will not be using it for your event, I will be unable to refund a certain percentage of the portion of your payment. This is necessary to hinder the very rare case of the “If we complain we’ll get a free cake” issue. I am dedicated to satisfying my client’s cake requirements.
